core principle
In the circulating system of the thermal oil furnace, the thermal oil connection of the jacketed reactor follows the principle of lower inlet and upper outlet
1. Heater outlet → Oil inlet at the lower part of the reactor: High-temperature thermal oil flows out from the heater and enters the bottom of the reactor jacket
2. Upper oil outlet (top port) of the reactor → Heater inlet: The low-temperature heat transfer oil after heat exchange returns to the heater for reheating from the top of the reactor
Design reason
• Full jacket design: Oil inlet at the bottom ensures complete filling of the jacket with heat transfer oil, eliminating dead zones and improving heat exchange efficiency
• Air discharge: The upper oil outlet facilitates the removal of air from the jacket, preventing air resistance from affecting heat transfer
• Uniform heating: The hot oil flows upward from the bottom, ensuring more even temperature distribution throughout the reactor and reducing the risk of localized overheating
System circulation process
Heater (heating thermal oil) → Circulating pump → Oil inlet at the bottom of the reactor → Reactor jacket → Oil outlet at the top of the reactor (upper port) → Heater (reheating)
